SHAD's New TR10 Waterproof Tank Bag
SHAD pride themselves as innovators in the world of motorcycle luggage, continuing to develop fresh ideas and products as they look to remain a step ahead of the competition.
That goal has not been lost with the TR10 tank bag, the upcoming addition to both their click system and terra adventure collections, but what exactly is it that sets it apart?
Firstly, when going head-to-head with other motorbike luggage manufacturers, it is the renowned click system fitting kit that places SHAD in the upper echelons of the tank bag market.
While many rival brands lag behind through their continued use of straps and/or magnets as a method of tank bag mounting, SHAD’s mounts could not be easier to use, allowing their bags to simply slot into place in mere seconds. Better yet, the click system features double locking, allowing the actual bag to lock before being locked directly to the tank.
However, as explained in our click system tank bag blog, each of SHAD’s E02, E03, E09 and TR15 use that same fitment. So, what are the key differentiators between the TR10 and its relatives?
The first point that springs to mind is storage capacity. As tank bags are generally used to store any essentials that may be needed at a moment’s notice, it is important to ensure they have ample space to support such storage. The 7 litre TR10 offers a larger internal capacity than the E02, E03 and E09 and is smaller than the TR15 in size.
While it could be said that size matters, the key selling point here is waterproof protection. As a matter of fact, the TR10 is SHAD’s first full waterproof tank bag with an IPX5 water rating and does not require the use of a rain cover like the others.
As for aesthetics, this terra adventure tank bag goes hand in hand with SHAD’s other terra luggage and would be a perfect match for their brand new TR30 panniers.
The TR10 tank bag is soon to be released and if you have been convinced by what it can bring to your motorcycle, this is your notice to keep your eyes peeled.
